Jose Perez is a versatile and in demand drummer and percussionist in the Los Angeles area.  Originally from south Texas, Jose studied at the prestigious University of North Texas w Ed Soph, Jose Aponte, and Mark Ford. ​ Since moving to Los Angeles in 2012, Jose has performed with Black Market Reverie, Snarky Puppy, Poncho Sanchez, Us The Duo, Ernie Watts, Bob Reynolds, Bokante, Haley Reinhart and countless others.

He has been featured in the Jazz and Paz Concert Series as bass counterpart in thechamber jazz combo of 2 + 1 with vocalist, Jamie Perez, clarinetist, John Tegmeyer and trumpet legend, Nolan Shaheed and now with his own very unique Black Market Reverie on vocals and bass.
