Noor in Paseo Colorado in beautiful downtown Pasadena, CA will provide the backdrop when Jazz and Jokes take center stage in our newest artistic offering, Sings For Supper: The Blue Plate Special. The appetizing “starter” will be up-and-coming singer/songwriter, “Sangster”, aka Afton Hefley followed by a hilarious side-dish of comedy with Mr. Nick Omana. The jazz entre will not disappoint – with veteran jazz artists, Gary Blumer on piano, Steve Pemberton on drums, legendary bassist, Tony Dumas and quintessential vibraphonist, Mr. Nick Mancini joining singer, Carla Jamie Perez in an introduction of originals and an homage to jazz standards. As the immortal Barde once said, “If music be the food of love…” Sings for Supper: The Blue Plate Special” is designed as pure comfort!

A deliciously satisfying evening of music and comedy with just the right amount of spice. The “menu” will feature Carla Jamie Perez, singing jazz originals and standards with Gary Blumer, piano, Tony Dumas, bass, Steve Pemberton, drums — and guest artist, Nick Mancini, vibes as well as a special “starter” by up and coming singer/songwriter Afton Hefley. Add a “large side” of comic relief with Nick Omana (of “Last Comic Standing”) and the ambience of NOOR at Paseo Colorado and the bill of fare is complete! Bon Appétit!
